Your garage records stay private.
CarMGT is designed to manage personal vehicle information without turning your garage into an advertising profile.
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Data you may choose to store
Depending on how you use CarMGT, the app may store information such as:
- Vehicle details, photos, odometer readings, and vehicle type.
- Maintenance records, service intervals, reminders, notes, costs, and receipts.
- Workshop Service visits and Quick Check entries, including selected items, check results, dates, notes, costs, and optional receipts.
- Fuel or charging entries, including date, quantity, and total cost.
- Trip tracking state and distance estimates for active drives.
- App preferences such as units, currency, language, theme, and notification settings.
- Vehicle documents you choose to add, such as insurance cards, registration, inspection documents, titles, warranties, photos, notes, expiration dates, and reminder settings. Adding documents is optional.
Where your data lives
On both platforms CarMGT stores your data on your device, and works fully without any account. What differs is what optional sync does with it.
On iOS
If iCloud sync is enabled and available, your CarMGT data may sync through your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure. Vemalit does not operate a separate server for your garage, maintenance records, receipts, documents, workshop visits, quick checks, or trip details, and cannot read what is in your iCloud account. When you delete an item in CarMGT, including a vehicle document, trip, workshop visit, or quick check, it is also removed from iCloud where applicable.
On Android
Android has no iCloud equivalent, so CarMGT offers optional Cloud Sync instead. It is off until you create an account and turn it on, and CarMGT works fully without it. When you do turn it on, your vehicles and maintenance records are stored on a Firebase backend operated by Vemalit, encrypted in transit, in an area of the database that only your own account can read or write. Being our backend, it is technically readable by Vemalit — unlike the iOS iCloud path — and we state that plainly rather than implying otherwise. Other record types, including documents, trips, workshop visits, quick checks, parking and diagnostic scans, are not uploaded and stay on your device. You can delete your account and everything stored for it at any time; see “Deleting your account and your data” below.
Analytics and tracking
CarMGT does not track you across apps or websites, does not use advertising identifiers, and includes no third-party analytics or tracking SDK on either platform. The app stores publish aggregated store statistics to Vemalit — App Store Connect on iOS, Google Play Console on Android — such as downloads, product page views, and crash reports. Those reports come from Apple and Google, describe groups rather than individuals, and are used to understand app performance and improve CarMGT.
What CarMGT does not do
- CarMGT does not sell your garage, maintenance, receipt, fuel, charging, document, or trip data.
- CarMGT does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- CarMGT does not build a profile of you for advertisers.
- CarMGT does not require an account with Vemalit to keep local vehicle records.
Location and trip tracking
CarMGT does not track trips or store any trip or route history unless you turn on trip tracking. When you enable it, trip distance and history are recorded on your device; recording a trip’s route (the map line) is a further option that is off by default and can be turned on in Settings (Save Trip Route). On iOS, routes stay on your device unless you enable iCloud trip sync (off by default), which stores them in your own private iCloud account. On Android, trips and routes are not uploaded at all — Cloud Sync covers vehicles and maintenance records only — so they stay on your device. CarMGT never sells location data. If you choose to open a route in Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze, that route’s location is shared with the app you select, under its own privacy policy.
A note for hands-on maintenance
CarMGT is made for people who want better ownership records, including hands-on owners who track parts, fluids, receipts, and service intervals themselves. Those records can be useful for your own memory, resale conversations, warranty context, and long-term budgeting.
Purchases, subscriptions, and tips
CarMGT Pro subscriptions, lifetime access, and optional tips are handled through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. Vemalit does not receive your full payment card details on either platform. Optional tips do not unlock Pro features or change your app access.
Deleting your account and your data
On iOS there is no Vemalit account to delete: removing the app and its iCloud data is entirely under your control through iOS and iCloud settings. On Android, if you created an account for Cloud Sync, you can delete it from inside the app at any time — Settings → Cloud Sync → Delete Account. That permanently removes both your sign-in credentials and everything stored for your account on our backend. It cannot be undone, and it does not require contacting us.
If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion at vemalit.com/carmgt/delete-account.
